Spacious room, comfortable bed, with complimentary Wi-Fi enhancing our experience during our stay and a convenient location allowing us to explore nearby attractions easily.

I had a lovely stay at El Español Paseo de Montejo. The location is fantastic, perfect for exploring Merida's historical sites. Although the room's air conditioning wasn't ideal, the staff was friendly and the breakfast buffet good.

Dude, the local eats around here are a feast for the senses! You can munch on some mouth-watering dishes at La Chaya Maya, just a stroll away, where they’ll hit you with that killer Yucatecan flavor. Plus, the staff here are super chill and helpful, making you feel right at home, while the location on Paseo Montejo is a gem for any wandering foodie!

Also, the breakfast buffet was packed—couldn't even snag a plate without a reservation. Lastly, those toilets? Not the flush-tastic experience I was expecting.

Unexpected challenges during my stay

However, the bathroom facilities were disappointing. The sink leaked constantly, creating a soggy mess that was both frustrating and unpleasant. This issue was not addressed during my stay.

I really enjoyed the beautiful spacious room and the offered evening cocktail was a nice touch! The breakfast was varied and delicious, making for a great start to the day. However, I was surprised by how the air conditioning unit didn't quite cool the room effectively. I would consider staying here again.

It was just an ideal choice for a quick layover in Merida with definitely value for money. The room service was top-notch, bringing whatever I needed right to my room. Make sure to try out the breakfast. it's affordable and popular with locals.

Great spot for exploring!

This place has a fab location, super close to downtown and my conference. The staff were friendly, and I liked the daily housekeeping. Just a heads up, the breakfast isn't worth it—only coffee and a tiny fruit bowl. The bed was okay, but the cover felt more like a sheet than anything else. Overall, enjoyable stay! :)

Leaky bathroom sink requiring towels for cleanup!!! Weak shower pressure and a musty smell from dampness!!! Loud music next door occasionally disrupting sleep!!! No coffee maker or wash cloths in the room!!!

I really enjoyed my stay with a very friendly staff who assisted us with a kid's play area at breakfast and the room also had darkening curtains, which were perfect for sleeping during our sunny visit. plus, being just a short walk from Santa Lucia Park and numerous restaurants made our city explorations a breeze.
